Tools & Materials

  • Squeegees (60-70 durometer, 6” to 22” wide)

  • Scoop coaters (14” to 24” wide)

  • Screens (110 to 305 mesh, up to 30” x 41" I.D.)

  • Mineral oil (for oiling paper stencils)

  • Emulsion (Atlas 827 WR)

  • Emulsion remover

  • Haze remover gel

  • AWT Sidekick (to hold screen up while printing)

  • Mylar and artist tape (for registration)

  • Foam core boards (for apparel printing)

  • Cleaners: simple green, 409, windex

  • Newsprint

Limited quantities available for learning purposes:

  • 9” x 12” duralar (for hand-drawn stencils)

  • Sakura Permapaque markers

  • Registration pins (9/32”)

  • Scrap fabric for proofing

Artists attending independent print sessions are asked to provide their own tools and supplies.

Shared studio screens:

  • Use of up to two screens guaranteed

  • Use of additional screens subject to availability

  • Images can be saved on screens for up to two weeks (unless prior arrangements have been made). After two weeks, reclamation will be charged at $20/screen

  • Personal screens can be stored at Campfire for the duration of a project; Long-term storage is not available

Inks

  • Speedball Permanent Acrylic ink: $1/ounce

  • Matsui Alpha Series fabric inks: $2/ounce

  • or bring your own ink

Paper & Apparel

  • French Pure White 100#C

    • 10×12” for $1.25/sheet

    • 20×26” for $3/sheet

  • 5.5oz 50/50 cotton-polyester blend (cream and gray): $6.50/shirt

  • 6oz cotton tote bags (natural and light gray): $6.50/tote

  • or bring your own fabric, paper, or apparel

Films

  • Rubylith: $15/linear foot

  • Lexan: $6/linearfoot

  • Digital Printing

    • Film: $2/linear inch

    • Ink: $8.00/square foot

Bring Your Own / Suggested Packing List

  • Film positives or digital file to print onsite

  • Materials for making positives (duralar, opaque markers, etc.)

  • Scrap fabric for proofing
