Built for professional artists.
Open to anyone.
Come explore screenprinting, intaglio, relief, monoprinting, and more—with professional equipment, copious space, and seasoned printers on hand when you need them.
Campfire Printing Press is a co-working art studio centered around printmaking processes in the Heart of Chicago.
Professional artists and curious first-timers alike come to Campfire to explore new processes, build real skills, and bring artistic ideas to life.
Start with an exploratory workshop or Open Print session—or sign on as a Studio Artist with 24/7 access. Whatever the scale of your project, we're on hand whenever you want guidance.
We don’t have classes. Here’s why:
Some projects come together best on your own terms. That's the idea behind Open Print.
We offer a prepared environment—a fully equipped studio, decades of hands-on printmaking experience, and as much or as little guidance as you need—so you can move at the pace that fits your project, whether this is your first time pulling a squeegee or your five-hundredth.
New to printmaking? We'll get you oriented and keep an eye on your process. Already know your way around the shop? We'll stay out of your way and let you work. Either way, the studio adjusts to you.
If you're looking for structured or group instruction, Process Spotlights and Guest Artist workshops offer articulated opportunities to go deep on a single technique or explore how it connects to a broader art practice.
