First Anniversary & Open House

  • Campfire Printing Press 2415 W 19th St Chicago, IL United States (map)

Artwork by Miriam Dubinsky

In celebration of the first anniversary of Campfire Printing Press, join us for a free all-ages open house with printing, art, food, drinks, and music.

Print a Shirt:

Artists Yang Pulongbarit-Cuevo and Colin Palombi have each carved a woodblock for our big day. Guests can pick their favorite block to print on a shirt they bring. Or buy one from Campfire for $10.

Meet Campfire Studio Artists:

Pop into the studios of Ryn Osbourne, Miriam Dubinsky, and Marcela Adeze Okeke–three artists who make Campfire their creative home.

See Behind the Scenes with Process/Process:

Their newest edition by Hai-Wen Lin will be on display, alongside works on paper. Head back to the Process/Process studio to see and touch the printing plates. Plus, check out their full inventory of available prints.

Eat, drink, and be merry:

Enjoy our camping-inspired spread: Make your own trail mix, and enjoy a s'more, or grab a cold one from the cooler.

Listen to printmakers:

Be the first to hear Null Mutants. Null Mutants is Todd Irwin and Nick Butcher, both accomplished printmakers and graphic artists. Their first release, Syncing Feel, warbles and pops with nods to reggae, dub, and musique concrète.

Take something home:

Make a print; Take a print; Leave a print; Buy a print. In addition to being able to trade prints with other attendees, you can buy a poster (designed by Miriam Dubinsky) and enjoy a 20% off upcoming workshops and print sessions.

Join us Saturday, August 22nd from 2–8pm to celebrate one year of Campfire Printing Press. We can't wait to see you.
